Natalia practices commercial and securities litigation with experience advising clients on a variety of matters, including professional negligence, employment, breaches of contract, proxy battles and shareholder disputes, investment loss claims, share valuation proceedings, civil fraud actions, contempt proceedings and fiduciary litigation. Natalia also regularly advises clients being investigated or prosecuted by the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC), the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC), the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (MFDA) and the Joint Serious Offences Team (JSOT).
Natalia has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, as well as the OSC, IIROC, MFDA and the Licence Appeal Tribunal. She has experience appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice to defend clients charged with securities offences.Natalia is in the process of completing her LLM degree at Osgoode Hall Law School specializing in administrative law, securities law and dispute resolution. During the program, Natalia has expanded her knowledge of regulatory law and has written extensively on various topics. While in law school, Natalia defended clients charged with summary offences under the Criminal Code of Canada in her role as a Criminal Division Leader at the Community and Legal Aid Services Programme (CLASP). Natalia also successfully competed in a number of mooting competitions, including the Corporate and Securities Moot.
Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Natalia articled at a full service law firm.
